Graphene/carbonyl iron filled epoxy modified cyanate ester composites(GNSs/CIP/EP-CE) were prepared by in-situ polymerization method to meet the requirements of \"thin thickness, light weight and absorption frequency bandwidth\". The morphology and electromagnetic shielding effectiveness (SE) were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and vector network analysis. It is found that the prepared composites filled with 5%GNS and 10% CIP exhibit an excellent electromagnetic shielding efficiency (≥30 dB) in the whole X-band (8.2~12.4 GHz). The maximum peak value of 47.6 dB is obtained at 11.79 GHz, almost 430% increment of the cyanate ester composite filled with single graphene fillers(CNSs/CE). In addition, the contribution of absorption to the total EMI SE for GNSs-CIP/CE composites reaches 92%, which indicates that the prepared composite is a typical absorption type electromagnetic shielding material.
